During the last 24 hours, almost all the suburbs of South and Central Mumbai have recorded heavy rain between 150 mm and 200 mm. Cumulative rainfall of most of the stations can be somewhere between 400 and 500 mm.
The cyclonic circulation over southern parts of Gujarat and adjoining North Konkan and Goa has intensified into a low pressure area which will further the intensified into a well marked low. But good news is that, the well marked low will move in North West direction away from Mumbai leading to decrease in rain activities by today afternoon or evening.
Now heavy rains will commence over Saurashtra and Kutch. But weather of Mumbai will not go dry, as moderate showers will continue over Mumbai and suburbs for at least next 4 to 5 days.
