This season, around four systems have formed in Bay of Bengal, being mostly circulations or low pressure areas moving over the central parts of the country. Now, a fresh low pressure area is all set to form in North Bay of Bengal around August 4.
The rear end of Monsoon trough which dips in the Bay of Bengal, always remains conducive to cyclogenesis which become Cyclonic Circulations which subsequently become Low Pressure Areas and also Depressions.
Before the formation of the system, a Tropical system will form in South China Sea around the Philippine region. The system will then move eastwards, across Thailand, Myanmar region and then emerge in the Bay of Bengal once again. The system will then merge with this system and will possibly become a depression by August 5, the first this system.
So far, Monsoon systems in Bay have only reached up to a low pressure area. The system will remain in Northwest Bay of Bengal until August 5.
August 6 onward, this system is expected to move inland, giving rains over West Bengal and adjoining North Odisha. It will then move across Chhattisgarh, North Jharkhand, and Madhya Pradesh resulting in rains over these areas as well. Since the system will travel further up to parts of Rajasthan, rains will be seen over the state along with parts of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana until August 9.
The upcoming system will be taking a northerly track as compared to the last systems but will continue travelling along the Trough line.
