A Cyclonic Circulation is all set to form in the North Andaman Sea anytime now. By tomorrow, the system may become a low pressure area, becoming a well marked low on the same day itself. By May 5, the system may become a deep depression, thereafter becoming a deep depression.
By May 6, the system is expected to become a Cyclone. The storm will be intensifying and move along the Arakan Coast, and possibly keep gaining strength.
This time, the Cyclone that will form will be called Asani, a name given by Sri Lanka. This system will be seen affecting mostly moving towards Bangladesh.
This is the third successive May when there is a Cyclone expected in May wherein 2020 saw Amphan which affected West Bengal being a super Cyclone, 2021 saw Yaas which affected Odisha.
