The Pandals are lit up with bright lights and the idol of Goddess Durga. The people are in a festive mode as the nine-day puja leads to Dussehra. The nine-day Durga Puja festival will mark its end on September 29 and will give way to Dushera which will be celebrated on the following day.
As per Skymet Weather, dry northwesterly winds are blowing over the region and are likely to blow for another three to four days. Therefore, the day will be warm and the nights will be cool and pleasant. The humidity levels will also not be high due to this weather activity, giving much relief to the people.

The day temperatures are settling around 32°C to 33°C, however, the temperatures reduce by evening and settle around mid-20’s. Delhiites can get out of their homes during the late evening and nights to enjoy the serene and divine cultural nights.
However, the pollution levels are on a hike and hence use masks to avoid breathing problems. Presently, the winds are light during the late night and early morning hours, hence the appearance of haze and mist are increasing. Whenever, haze forms during morning hours and winds are light it leads to increase in the pollution levels.
And with Dussehra festival coming up, Ravan-dhahan will follow which will further increase the pollution levels. Another cyclonic circulation is likely to form over East Uttar Pradesh and adjoining areas by October 30. Therefore, humid winds will once again start blowing from southeast direction over Delhi which will lead to more humidity and further increase in pollution.
