Weather activity in terms of rain and snowfall is generally confined to northern parts of the country in the month of February.
A series of Western Disturbances and their induced systems could be attributed to rain in west Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, west Uttar Pradesh. The hills of North India also receives rain and snowfall.
In one of the few rare occasions weather activity travels down to the southern latitudes. Such a circumstance would be witnessed on the February 28 and March 1.
Rain on February 27
A trough of low over extreme southern parts of Peninsular India will bring light rain. Rest of the country will have cloudy to partly cloudy sky but will remain mainly dry.
Rain on February 28
A fresh Western Disturbance will work in tandem with an induced cyclonic circulation over south Rajasthan and adjoining Gujarat region to effect weather over many parts. On the 28th, these two systems will bring rain over Saurashtra & Kutch, north Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, parts of Bihar.
Snowfall is likely in all the three hilly states of North India. Madhya Pradesh will also come under the purview of the system and a streak of weather will extend from here to cover Vidarbha and interiors of Peninsular India.

Rain on March 1
On the 1st of March, rain will recede from Gujarat but coastal parts of Maharashtra including Mumbai could receive some light rain. Intensity of rain will increase over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, north Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Rain will become widespread over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and interiors of Peninsular India.
Rain on March 2
Rain will withdraw from the western parts of the country and cover more parts of West Bengal, Northeast India and West Bengal.
