Fairly widespread rain and thundershower activities to lash Hyderabad and Telangana until Sept 26

The rainfall activities are all set to increase over Telangana during the next two to three days. And fairly widespread rain and thundershower activities would lash the state including its capital city, Hyderabad until September 25 or 26.

According to our meteorologists, the intensity of rain would mainly be moderate over most parts coupled with one or two heavy spells.

These rains would be a result of a Cyclonic Circulation over West Central Bay of Bengal off Andhra Pradesh Coast. This system is expected to move further in the westerly direction towards Coastal Andhra Pradesh and thereafter towards Telangana.

In the wake of this movement, rains would revive over Telangana and continue with good intensity for the next two to three days. However, rains would not be as severe as to result in water-logging.

These on and off showers would make the weather comfortable for residents along with cloudy to overcast sky conditions.

During the last 24 hours, the weather of Telangana including Hyderabad was almost dry with isolated light rain. And the capital city observed only 0.2 mm of rainfall in a span of 21 hours until 5:30 am today. However, this scenario would change soon as the state is likely to see good rains for the next few days.

With on and off rains making an appearance for quite some time now, we can say that this Monsoon is turning out to be good for Telangana. The main credit for this goes to the successive Low-Pressure Areas appearing over the Bay of Bengal and traveling towards Telangana. The northern districts of the state, in particular, have been getting the maximum benefits.
