Delhi rains

Delhi and its adjoining areas such as Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad are all set to experience a fresh Monsoon surge. At present, the axis of Monsoon Trough is located South of Delhi. This system will gradually move northwards and bring in moderate rains with a few heavy spells over Delhi and NCR area starting from today.

Initially commencing with light intensity, and getting heavier by late afternoon or evening hours. Delhiites may witness one or two heavy spells during this period. However, the intensity would be mainly light to moderate for most of the parts.

The moisture-laden easterly winds have already commenced over Delhi and NCR area and the region is experiencing cloudy weather at present. These conditions have brought a huge relief to the people of the city experiencing soaring temperatures and high humidity levels.

Some scattered showers were recorded over Delhi and NCR area yesterday during the late evening hours but the weather has remained almost dry since then. Now we expect a fresh Monsoon surge to give good rains over entire NCR. The intensity of rains, however, may become feeble by tomorrow, but scattered rain and thundershower activities may continue for a day or so.
