Weather of entire Central region of the country including the states of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh has been running dry since the last two days.
As per forecasters at Skymet, similar dry weather is being forecast for the state during the upcoming 24 hours as well. In fact, even the next upcoming few days are likely to remain dry over the region as no significant weather system is likely to affect the region anytime soon.
However, soon, a Confluence Zone is expected to form over the region. This is when, southeasterly winds from Bay of Bengal will merge with dry winds from Northwest leading to cloud formation and subsequent rains.
These rains and thundershowers are expected to continue from March 17 to March 22 over East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh. These rains will be witnessed on and off throughout the while.
Meanwhile, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh might also receive a few intense spells of rains along with chances of hailstorm activities. Strong winds are also possible to prevail during this time.
At the same, the weather of West Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan will continue to remain dry. Some major places like Mumbai, Pune, Nasik, Jalgaon, Ratnagiri, Sangli, Satara and Kolhapur will also remain dry.
