Weather of eastern parts of the country remained dry since last one month or so. Strong Western disturbance has approached Western Himalayas and an induced cyclonic circulation is over western parts of a Rajasthan. Cyclonic circulation will gradually move in easterly direction. Autograph is also expected to develop from Rajasthan to east Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
Rain may commence over east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and parts of Jharkhand from December 28 and will continue until December 29 or early morning of December 30. Parts of Odisha and West Bengal may also witness light is scattered rain around December 29.
December is one of the driest months for eastern part of the country. Average monthly rainfall is lowest during December. These upcoming rains can be termed as unseasonal rain for east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand. Minimum temperatures are expected to increase over East India during next 2 to 3 days.
Day temperatures may drop by 2-3 degrees. Rain activities will subside completely by December 31st. Minimum temperatures a will start dropping from January 1st onwards and cold wave conditions are possible during first week of January.
