East India to brace falling minimums

East India has been witnessing dry weather from past many days. In spite of observing cool weather, the winter chill has remained absent from the region from past many days now.

Until now, most of the regions in East India that have been observing above normal temperatures are expected to witness a significant drop in temperatures. Minimums have already dropped by 2-3°C today in most parts of East India.

Moreover, in another 24 hours, the night temperatures are expected to plummet further by 1-2°C more. A similar drop is also expected in the daytime highs as well.

The reason for this drop in temperatures can be attributed to the dry and cool northwesterly winds that are currently blowing in most parts of East India. These winds are likely to strengthen further in another 24 hours paving way for much more chilly and cool weather.

Regions like East Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh are in the line of witnessing temperature dropping. Gradually, other states of the Eastern parts of the country like East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Interior Odisha are also likely to follow the path.

Though eastern regions of the country are predicted to witness decreasing temperatures, the shivery winter chills are still not likely to be felt. Pleasant weather conditions are expected to prevail in the region for next 24 hours.
