Due to an absence of any significant weather system, temperatures in East India have scaled up drastically, so much so that East India has been observing maximums even more than the temperatures prevailing in North India.
While the day temperatures across North India has been settling in mid-20’s, the maximums have been settling in lower 30’s in most parts of East India. Hence, both the regions have been observing a difference in temperatures between 5-6°C. Similarly, even the minimums across East India have also been settling 4-5 notches above the normal.
In fact, in the last 24 hours, maximum temperatures have increased in most parts of East India including Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha. Moreover, the minimums during the similar time frame have also settled between 14-15°C.
Now, as per Skymet Weather, temperatures are expected to witness a further marginal rise. Weather is expected to remain dry and clear. Days are likely to remain warm with bright sunshine while the nights are expected to be comparatively cooler and comfortable.
The diurnal variation that is the difference between maximums and minimum is more than 15-16 degrees. Hence, it is time to take extra caution especially during early morning and night hours against seasonal allergies
In a nutshell, it can be said that winters are making way for the summers to set in East India soon.
