Many parts of East India are one of the hottest pockets including the states of Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh as well as Odisha. Maximums here have been settling at about 43-44 degrees Celsius. These conditions are not expected to last long and will only stay for another 24 hours.
Moreover, relief is coming up due to some rainfall activities over these areas which will reduce temperatures. In fact, Southwest Monsoon will also make an onset slowly.
We can expect a drop of 5 degrees after 24 hours. Thereafter, maximums are not likely to rise. In fact, we can expect heatwave to remain abated for at least a few days. Moreover, with the arrival of Southwest Monsoon soon, we can expect temperatures to remain on the lower side.
