Chances of light to moderate rain with a few heavy spells over coastal Tamil Nadu and the south coast of Andhra Pradesh on December 17 and 18. This is due to the westward movement of the low-pressure area towards the Tamil Nadu coast.

Furthermore, the system is likely to continue moving along the east coast, gradually intensifying rainfall over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Odisha between December 18 and 20. Light to moderate rainfall is also expected to occur over Gangetic West Bengal, interior Odisha, southeast Jharkhand, south Chhattisgarh, and eastern parts of Telangana on December 19 and 20.
