Heavy rain that had been lashing Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha is likely to decrease in the next 24 to 48 as the low pressure area stationed over southeast Uttar Pradesh and northeast Madhya Pradesh is expected to weaken.
Due to westward movement of the weather system rain will also decrease over Bihar, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal after 24 hours. However, light to moderate rain will continue to occur at few places during the period. Temperatures that were 3 to 4 degrees below normal in the region will now rise due to decrease in rain.
Rain will remain subdued over Gujarat and Rajasthan during the next two days, with temperature remaining above average. The southwesterly winds from the Arabian Sea will keep the humidity levels high in these states.
East Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, west Uttar Pradesh and Delhi in northwest plains will get light rain tomorrow onwards. Meanwhile, the Western Disturbance that lies over Jammu & Kashmir and adjoining north Pakistan will affect the hilly regions by bringing light rain and pulling down temperatures.
In south, under the influence of the low pressure area, rain will occur in north Andhra Pradesh and Vidarbha during the next 24 hours and decrease thereafter. Rest of the south Peninsula will not receive rain and temperatures will remain above average.
Rain will remain subdued along the West coast, other than Kerala coast, that may experience some rain during the next two days.
