East and Northeast India to receive rain activities for next two days

East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal have witnessed unseasonal rain during the second week of January between January 9 and 12. Unseasonal rains have once again resumed over East India. During the last 24 hours light to moderate rain with one or two intense spells occurred over East Uttar Pradesh and parts of Bihar.

Light rain with few moderate spells occurred over Jharkhand, West Bengal and parts of Odisha. Scattered rain activities are going on over Northeast India.

Western disturbance is now moving to East and associated low pressure area along with cyclonic circulation is also moving towards Uttar Pradesh. Weather parameters will get weaken gradually. A trough is extending from northwest Rajasthan to Bihar across Uttar Pradesh.

Today on January 23rd, there will be light to moderate rain for over East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Parts of Jharkhand and West Bengal may receive few intense spells. Rain activities are also expected to increase over Sikkim and Northeast India during next 24 hours.

There will be significant decrease in rain over East India by January 24. However, moderate showers may continue over Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal, Pradesh Nagaland and Manipur.

Weather of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal will start clearing up by January 25th. But parts of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh may receive scattered rain activities until January 27th.
