Dust storm and thundershower activities accompanied with strong winds are continuing over many parts of Rajasthan since the last 24 to 48 hours.
The intensity of dust storm is higher over the northwestern districts of Rajasthan, while the southern parts are witnessing lower intensity of these pre-Monsoon activities.
In the wake of these weather activities, heat wave conditions have completely abated from Rajasthan. In fact, yesterday,Chururecorded its day temperature at 42.4˚C, followed by Alwar 41.5˚C, Chittorgarh 40.5˚C,Ajmerand Barmer 40.0˚C.
All these weather activities are prevailing over Rajasthan due to the presence of an active Western Disturbance over Western Himalayas and its induced cyclonic circulation over West Rajasthan. Now in the coming days, successive Western Disturbances and their induced systems will affect the region.
Therefore, we expect, dust storm and thundershowers to continue over most parts of the state during the next four to five days as well. Moreover, intensity and spread of these activities will keep increasing.
In the wake of continuous weather activities, maximum temperatures over most places in Rajasthan will drop and settle between 35 to 38 degree Celsius.
Thus, we can say that in the coming days, dusty and windy weather conditions will prevail over paces likeJaisalmer, Barmer,Jodhpur, Bikaner, Sikar, Sri Ganganagar,Hanumangarh, Alwar, Bharatpur,Jaipur, Ajmer, Tonk, Pali, Kota and Sawai Madhopur.
