Dust storm, rain and thunderstorm have been keeping the intense summer heat in Delhi at bay. The last 24 hours have also been rainy for the national capital. These rains can be attributed to the combined effect of the Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining areas along with a cyclonic circulation which is over Central Pakistan and adjoining Rajasthan. A trough is also extending from this system across Uttar Pradesh which will also result in some moisture over the region.

Thus, due to these weather features, Delhi and adjoining areas of Gurugram, Noida, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad are expected to witness dust storm, thunderstorm and rainfall. These weather activities will also be accompanied with lightning strikes as well as squally winds. Sky conditions are expected to remain partly cloudy to cloudy.

These weather activities are expected to continue until April 12. Until then, temperatures will remain on the lower side with heatwave like conditions remaining far away.
