Wind speed has also picked up and currently the speed of winds of most parts is ranging between 15 kmph to 30 kmph.

As a result, the day temperatures which had reached 41°C had dropped significantly, bringing much needed relief from the scorching weather. All thanks to the fresh Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir that has induced a cyclonic circulation over Central Pakistan and adjoining Punjab.

Both the systems have been infusing moisture over the northwestern plains, which combined with the high day temperatures are leading to these pre-Monsoon activities across the region.

Although Punjab and Haryana and could see some light rain and thundershowers but rains are ruled out over Delhi-NCR.

Further, chances of these activities are very few on Sunday and weather will clear up by tomorrow. However, day temperatures would witness a marginal fall during the next 24 hours and heatwave conditions will abate.

The wait for rain will be finally over by April 25, wherein Delhi-NCR are likely to record rain and thundershowers.
