This dusty weather has been attributed to the prevalence of dust rising winds from Rajasthan and Pakistan region.
However, yesterday the situation was far better than the days before. Thus, we can say that relief may be in sight during the coming days.
Even though, this layer of dust and sand is not a very unusual phenomenon and it usually happens during the pre-Monsoon season though it is the intensity, spread and duration of the dusty weather that varies.
Currently, as a Western Disturbance is seen moving across Jammu and Kashmir region, with its induced upper air cyclonic circulation over Central Pakistan and adjoining Punjab. We expected dust storm and thundershower activities to occur over the region during the next 48 hours.
In wake of dust storm activity, night temperatures are likely to decrees significantly.
The clouds will increase, as the day progresses. The wind speed will also decrease gradually. The dust which is suspended in the atmosphere is likely to clear up after spell of rain and thundershower activities.
