Isolated rain and dust-storm activities have occurred over Northern Plains during the last two to three days. The intensity however remained light. During the last 24 hours, we have seen light rains over parts of North Haryana and Punjab. Though the weather of Rajasthan has remained dry.
Today however we expect isolated rain and dust storm activities in parts of Punjab and North Rajasthan, as had been forecast earlier. These activities will continue in isolated pockets until April 15.
Thereafter, a fresh Western Disturbance will induce a Cyclonic Circulation over Rajasthan on April 16. We expect fairly widespread activities over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, North Madhya Pradesh and West Uttar Pradesh. Isolated hailstorm cannot be ruled out at one or two places.
Weather activities will begin in the form of dust storm over parts of Rajasthan, Delhi and NCR and then will be followed by rain and thundershower.
So, on April 16 and 17, Pre-Monsoon activities will be on their peak over Northern Plains as well as many parts of Madhya Pradesh.
During this time, we expect the temperatures to subside over most parts. Heat wave conditions which were prevailing over many parts of Rajasthan will abate.
By April 18, the Western Disturbance will start moving away and the Cyclonic Circulation will fade away. The trough will keep persisting across Uttar Pradesh. However, scattered rain and thundershower activities may continue over parts of West Uttar Pradesh and adjoining areas of Haryana.
By April 19, the weather will once again clear up and temperatures will start increasing.
