The southern parts of Rajasthan including places likeJaisalmer, Barmer,Jodhpur, Jalor,Pali, Sirohi,Udaipur, Banswara and Pratapgarh witnessed dust storm and thundershower activities accompanied with strong winds during the last 24 hours. While, the northern parts remained dry and warm.
These weather conditions occurred in association with a Western Disturbance moving across Jammu and Kashmir and its induced cyclonic circulation present over Southwest Rajasthan and adjoining Pakistan region.
Now this cyclonic circulation will be persisting over the region during the next 48 hours as well. Therefore, we expect dust storm and thundershowers with strong winds to continue over isolated places in South Rajasthan.
Meanwhile, in the absence of any weather system and clear sky conditions, temperatures in northern and eastern parts of the state will increase significantly. Moreover, northwesterly winds which are dry and warm in nature will be affecting the region.
However, May 22 onwards, the intensity and spread of these pre-Monsoon weather activities will increase and cover most parts of the state, as an active Western Disturbance will be approaching the Western Himalayas.
During that time, sky will remain partly cloudy and the most affected districts will be Jaisalmer,Jodhpur, Phalodi, Sri Ganganagar,Churu, Bikaner,Sikar, Jaipur, Alwar, Tonk,Paliand few more.
