Dry and very hot weather conditions with isolated heat wave like conditions prevailed over Delhi and its adjoining areas of Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad and Ghaziabad during the last 24 hours. The pollution levels over the National Capital Region are increasing due to the mixing of dust particles.

Now further also since Southwest Monsoon is delayed over Delhi and NCR, dry and hot weather conditions are expected to continue over the region.

At present, a Western Disturbance is moving across northern parts of Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir region. Due to this weather system, the day temperature of Delhi-NCR would be decreasing. Whereas, nights will remain unchanged with warm weather.

Maximum temperatures are likely to settle between 40 to 43 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, minimum temperatures would hover between 30 to 33 degrees Celsius.

However, in the wake of the Western Disturbance, dust storm with strong winds and short spell of light rainfall activity is expected over Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad and Ghaziabad during the coming four to five days. Isolated places of Delhi and NCR may also witness light rain and thundershowers.

Towards the end of next week, Southwest Monsoon 2019 may finally mark its onset over the National Capital Region, as a low-pressure area has formed over Northwest Bay of Bengal, which is intensifying and moving west/northwestwards.
