In the past 24 hours, scattered light to moderate rains has occurred over many parts of West Bengal. Now, a Trough is extending from Sub-Himalayan West Bengal to Karnataka, thus few good spells of rain are possible over the central and eastern parts of West Bengal until October 10. Thereafter, the weather activity will subside. At the time of rains, places like Midnapore, South Parganas, Kolkata, Purulia, Bankura, Bardhaman, Birbhum may see few good spells of rain and thundershower activities. It is likely that these rain and thundershower activities might disrupt the ongoing Durga Puja celebrations. Rainfall is expected most probably in the afternoon and evening hours while the day will be warm and humid.
