Every year Durga Puja is celebrated with utmost enthusiasm and high spirits all across West Bengal. This festival is at its peak during the last four days of Navratri. The entire state is spellbound by the festive look.

Days are likely to be warm and humid with partly cloudy sky to cloudy sky, whereas morning and nights will remain comfortable.
However, weathermen at Skymet Weather predict that Kolkata is likely to witness light rains with few moderate spells from September 28 to 30. But these showers will not be much of a threat to the ongoing festivities in the city.
With such weather situation, it seems that the merriment Durga Puja will be held without the weather gods disturbing the biggest festival of Bengali Hindus.

On and off rains will make the weather tolerable, which is presently sultry. These rains are likely to remain confined to Gangetic West Bengal and some parts of Central Bengal. Places like Malda, Bardhaman, Birbhum, Krishanagar and Bankura may see few good spells of rains.
Maximum temperatures are likely to range from 34-35 degrees, while minimums will settle near 26-27 degrees.
Till date, the entire West Bengal has seen normal rains by minus 2 percent.
