Delhi has been witnessing pleasant weather conditions with good sunshine for the last few days. Maximum temperatures have been settling in mid-20s, well above the normal average temperature of 23.6°C.

In absence of any rain activity, no major change is likely in the weather during the coming week as well. According to Skymet Weather, temperatures will continue to settle in the range of mid 20s during next few days as no weather system is likely to affect the region.

On Wednesday, national capital recorded maximum temperature of 26.2°C. Usually, such day temperatures are witnessed during the second half of the February. But this winter being unusually warm, mercury has been settling on the higher side throughout the season.

As we progress further in the month, the temperatures will rise further and might also reach up to 30°C. Delhiites will be witnessing clear weather and more number of bright sunny days ahead in the month.

The present conditions can also be to attributed to dry winters, which plays a vital role in fluctuations of temperatures. Delhi has remained practically dry since December, barring one or two occasions of very light rainfall.

However, we expect a rainy spell approaching Delhi around February 16. According to Skymet, the spell that will last till February 18 is expected to be a promising one and city is likely to witness good rainfall by winter standards. But as soon as the spell ends, temperatures will be back on the rising trend.

February is the rainiest month during the winter season with the normal average rainfall of 22.1 mm.
