Rain splashed all your plans for that outdoor party for the last three weekends. However, this coming weekend you can enjoy thoroughly as dry weather conditions are expected to prevail in most parts of the country. In fact all the metro cities, except Delhi, will be extremely hot.
Weather in North India
The last spell of rain brought down temperatures significantly across North India. Maximums dropped by 10-15°C in the hills, while the plains witnessed a 5-10°C drop. But as rain has receded, temperatures have shown a gradual rise in the last two to three days. For instance, Ambala recorded 25°C as the day temperature on Wednesday, whileDelhisaw maximum settle at 26°C.
Over the weekend, maximums in the hills will be near normal. Maximum in Banihal, Batote,Srinagar, Bhaderwah and Kupwara will be in the range of 15°C to 20°C. Minimums will also be near normal in the range of 2-5°C. But, the higher reaches could still witness sub-zero temperatures.
Coming down to the plains, Delhi will be pleasantly warm with maximums around 30°C. Punjab and Haryana will experience similar conditions with maximums inAmbala,Chandigarh,Ludhiana, Patiala, Jalandhar, Ferozepur,Karnalaround 26°C. Minimums will be near normal in the range of 12°C to 15°C.
Weather in East India
East India will be quite hot over the weekend with maximums inKolkata, Bankura and Jamshedpur around 34°C.
Weather in Peninsular India
In the Peninsular region, expect no relief from hot weather inMumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and most of the metros.
In absence of any weather activity, Rayalseema is the hottest part of the country at present. Anantapur, Kurnool andTirupatiare recording temperatures around 38-39°C. The interiors are hot while the coastal stations are hot and humid.
