With Monsoon withdrawing from North India, and Monsoon reaching its last stage, we can expect dry weather for both the hills and plains in the coming days.
While the last two days did result in some light rains over a few parts of Jammu and Kashmir including Banihal, Gulmarg and Qazi Gund due to a feeble Western Disturbance, dry weather will take over soon.
The Western Disturbance will now move away, thus, conditions will be dry across the mountains. Dry weather will also persist over the plains as no weather system is forming in the vicinity of the region.
Extreme higher reaches even without the presence of any significant system get some activity, but that is above 20 thousand feet. Thus, we can see some weather there. Otherwise, both the plains and hills will remain largely dry for the next one week or so.
