Now, the weatherman at Skymet Weather expects scattered light rain and thundershowers to commence over the state after October 25. Moreover, the rains will intensify from October 26-28. During this period, light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells are anticipated over the districts of Kerala.

The reason for these approaching rains can be attributed to the formation of a cyclonic circulation over Southeast Arabian Sea between Lakshadweep region and Kerala. Another circulation is also expected during this time fame over Southwest Bay of Bengal off Tamil Nadu Coast.
