Dry weather to continue over Amritsar, Chandigarh, Ambala, Ludhiana

Since the last few two days or so, warm and humid weather conditions have been prevailing over Northwestern plains of India. These weather conditions may continue during the next 24 to 36 hours. Thereafter, light rain and thundershower activities are likely to occur over Haryana, Delhi, Punjab and other adjoining areas.

According to Skymet Weather, a cyclonic circulation is seen over North Rajasthan and Haryana. A trough is also seen extending from this system up to Foothills of Himalayas. Due to these weather systems, the formation of thunderclouds and light showers are possible over Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Ambala, Rohtak, Sonipat, Narnaul, Faridabad, Sirsa, Jalandhar, Patiala, Delhi and other adjoining areas after 24 to 36 hours.

Since the span of last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Saturday, no major traces of rain and thundershower activities have been witnessed over these areas.

The hot weather conditions will continue to prevail over entire parts of Northwestern Plains. Thus, light rains are likely over parts of Haryana, North Rajasthan and Delhi-NCR after two to three days. Temperatures will witness a drop by 2 to 3 degree Celsius.
