If we look at the prevailing weather systems over the Northwest Plains of India, a Western Disturbance as an upper air system is moving across the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Apart from this, a diffused pattern of winds is also prevailing over Northwest Plains. These winds are mostly light and variable in nature.

Dry weather is expected to continue over the entire Northwest region for the next 24 to 48 hours. Apart from this, morning temperatures may rise further marginally. Day and night temperature might also show a rise. In fact, smog or thick mist will continue to prevail during morning and evening hours. Due to this reason, no large change in the pollution levels is in sight for Delhi and adjoining regions.

During the last 24 hours, the Northwest plains remained mainly dry. Pollution levels also remained on the higher side in the city area. Medium & high clouds were observed over entire Punjab area.

Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 11°C (Aya Nagar Area). Both Bathinda and Kapurthala districts in Punjab recorded minimum temperature at10.2°C. Whereas Gurgaon district recorded the least temperature for Haryana region standing at 10.3°C. Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh remained at 8.5°C.
