Many parts of Vidarbha like Buldhana, Nagpur, Washim, Akola, Beed, Parbhani and Jalna have received good rain and thundershowers in the past two to three days. However, the rain intensity has now reduced significantly during the past 24 hours, barring few pockets. Akola has recorded 4 mm of rain in span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Tuesday.
Hailstorm activity was also witnessed in parts of like Hingoli, Buldhana, Washim, Parbhani and Osmanabad.

Contrary to this, the weather over Marathwada remained mostly dry, with partly cloudy to cloudy sky and isolated rain accompanied with hailstorm over the region.
Furthermore, minimum temperatures have dropped marginally over both Vidarbha and Marathwada.
Now, northerly and northeasterly winds have again commenced over the regions. These winds are cool in nature. Therefore, we can expect further drop in minimum temperatures, while the maximum temperatures will escalate, due to clear weather conditions and sunny sky.

As per Skymet Weather, days will remain warm and sunny, while nights would be cool and comfortable. Maximum temperatures are expected to again climb up to the range of 33-35 degree Celsius over Vidarbha and Marathwada in the coming days.
Weathermen do not expect any weather activity over these regions for at least the next 8 to 10 days. The weather will remain absolutely dry.
At this juncture, let us take a brief look of the effect of weather on the agriculture:
Farmers of Vidarbha and Marathawada are suggested to clean the hailstorm damaged field. Further, they are recommended to be more cautious, as there are probabilities of disease to the affected crops. Farmers are advised to resume the harvesting of Rabi crops after 15 February, as per crop moisture conditions and store the harvested crops under shade or cover it with plastic sheet.
