The northwestern plains of the country i.e. Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh observed varied weather conditions, during the last 24 hours.

Light rainfall activity along with partly cloudy sky occurred over isolated pockets of Rajasthan in association with the cyclonic circulation over East Rajasthan.

In the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Friday, Ajmer recorded very light rain to the tune of 0.6 mm. Meanwhile, traces of rain were also observed over the northwestern district of Bikaner.

At present, the Western Disturbance is moving across eastern parts of Jammu and Kashmir. Moreover, another Western Disturbance is likely to approach the Western Himalayas by October 30.

However, weather conditions will remain dry over the states of Punjab and Haryana. But, both these states will experience drop in night temperatures.

Further, a cyclonic circulation is likely to develop over Northwest Rajasthan. Due to this, we expect the wind pattern to change over most parts of Rajasthan and gradually over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh as well.

Mostly mist and thick haze will prevail during the morning hours over the northwestern plains. The sky conditions will remain clear with calm winds. Days will become mildly warm over some places. Meanwhile, hot day conditions will continue to prevail over West Rajasthan, where day temperatures will settle in high-30’s.
