During the last 24 hours, isolated pockets in Northeast Rajasthan and adjoining Southwest Uttar Pradesh received light rains with one or two moderate showers.

In the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Saturday, Bharatpur recorded 10 mm of rain, followed by Alwar 4 mm, Pilani 0.3 mm and trace of rain was also observed in Agra.

Now, due to the presence of an anti-cyclonic circulation over Southeast Rajasthan and adjoining West Madhya Pradesh in the lower-troposphere, dry winds are prevailing over Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh.

Hence, dry and warm weather conditions will prevail over the northwestern plains of the country. But due to the confluence zone over northeastern parts of Rajasthan and adjoining parts of North Madhya Pradesh and Southwest Uttar Pradesh, light rain and thundershower activity with dust storm is expected over isolated pockets of Northeast Rajasthan and Southwest Uttar Pradesh.

As dry winds are prevailing, Delhi and rest of Northwest India will have dry weather with sunny sky during the next 24 hours. Thereafter, due to approaching of a Western Disturbance the clouds will increase over Punjab, Haryana and Delhi.

Light rain and thundershowers with strong winds at isolated places may also affect, on October 9 and October 10 over these states. However, maximum temperatures over Delhi will be between 34 to 36 degrees.

Western parts of Rajasthan will experience dry and hot weather conditions.
