Heavy rain and hailstorms were reported in parts of Vidarbha and Marathwada region, while the Konkan and Goa and Madhya Maharashtra regions continued to remain dry.
The reason for the prevalence of dry weather over the region can be associated with the trough and the cyclonic circulation that were over the eastern parts of the state. These two weather systems mainly affected Vidarbha and Marathwada region and thus rains escaped from showing upon Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan and Goa.
However, humid winds from the Bay of Bengal were passing through Madhya Maharashtra region. Hence, the day temperatures of Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan and Goa region registered a marginal fall.
