The entire state of Maharashtra has been receiving dry weather conditions since the last many days. this dry weather has been attributed to the dry northwesterly winds blowing over the region which are mainly cool and dry in nature.
However, during the last 24 hours, drop in minimum temperatures has been observed over many parts of the state such as Vidarbha, Marathwada and Madhya Maharashtra. The Konkan region remained mostly hot during the day.
Yesterday, Nashik recorded its minimum temperature at 14˚C, followed by Pune 17˚C, Mahabaleshwar 16.4˚C, Aurangabad 14.4˚C, Malegaon 16.6˚C, Akola and Jalgaon 14˚C, Parbhani 17.6˚C Sangli and Satara 18˚C.
Meanwhile, Thane recorded its maximum temperature at 37˚C, followed by Ratnagiri 35.2˚C, Mumbai (Santacruz) 35.2˚C, Mumbai (Colaba) and Dahanu 34.2˚C, Parbhani and Nanded 35˚C, Akola 34.6˚C
Now further also marginal drop in both day and night temperatures is expected over parts of Vidarbha and Marathwada. Temperatures over Konkan & Goa region will also drop. Therefore, we expect comfortable day conditions along the coast of Maharashtra.
Mumbai will witness a pleasant and hazy morning followed by warm sunny day.
