Dry weather in Hyderabad to continue, no rains expected

The city of Hyderabad received isolated light rains on February 7 after a prolonged dry spell. However, this rainfall activity was only in traces and no significant amount of rains were witnessed over the capital city of the newbie state Telangana.

This rainfall activity was observed over the city of Hyderabad was due to a confluence zone which had developed in the proximity of the region. However, since then, the city has been witnessing dry weather conditions. As far as the sky conditions are concerned, they have remained clear over the city.

Talking about the temperatures, for the past two days, the maximums have been settling above 32 degrees Celsius at 32.8°C and 32.5°C, respectively which happens to be about a notch or two above the normal levels.

Meanwhile, the minimum temperatures have been settling in the mid-teens around 19 degrees Celsius which is about a degree above the normal levels.

As far as the rainfall is concerned, the monthly mean for Hyderabad stands at a mere 9.2 mm. However, this year, like the last three years, Hyderabad has not been able to witness any significant rainfall activity during the month of February.

If weathermen are to be believed, rains may not make an appearance during the rest of February which may result in a dry month for the fourth consecutive year.
