It could be said that the month of February was a bit of respite across the central region of the country. There were two instances when the region ended up recording some rainy spells. The first spell of rain was around February 11 and 13, while the second rainy episode was recent, i.e., February 24 and 25. During the latter period, most places of East Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh recorded rains, but these showers were not significant.

However, during the first spell, along with eastern districts of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha and Marathwada also recorded rain and thundershower activities. Not only this, the latter regions also witnessed hailstorm activity at few places.

Now, with the recent rains, maximum temperatures have reduced over most districts of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. In fact, parts of Vidarbha region of Maharashtra also observed a marginal drop in maximums.

Now, moderate winds from the northwest direction will begin to blow over the central parts of the country including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha region. As a result, we can expect further drop in day temperatures during the next 24 hours, however, the reduction will only be marginal. Thereafter, due to decrease in wind speed, clear sky and bright sunshine; temperatures will again start increasing.

According to Skymet Weather, we do not expect any significant weather activity, i.e., rains over the central region for the next coming days. So, days will become very warm, but nights would be comfortable, giving some relief to the dwellers.
