During the month of October, many places over eastern parts of the country have remained rain-free for quite a long time. Likewise, the last 24 hours were no different and several places in East India prevailed under dry and warm weather conditions.
Within a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Friday, the entire eastern side of India failed to record any good amount of rainfall activity. In fact, almost most parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh continued to witness dry spells.

The reason for such weather activities can be attributed to a cyclonic circulation which is seen over east Bangladesh. A trough is also seen extending from Nagaland up to northeast Bihar across north Bengal and Bangladesh.
In wake of these weather systems over the region, scattered light rain and thundershower activities are anticipated over northeast Bihar and a few northern parts of West Bengal during the next 24 hours.
Whereas some places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura will witness comparatively heavier rains during the aforementioned period.
During this period, sky conditions are expected to remain partly cloudy. Mist and fog formation is also likely to increase in some pockets of NMMT (Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura) and in isolated parts of North West Bengal.
As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, dry weather conditions are expected to persist over remaining parts of Bihar, entire Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh, Odisha except for a few parts of northeast Odisha for next few days.

Day temperatures are already reaching below normal or normal levels over the aforementioned areas. Morning temperatures are likely to increase marginally in parts of Bihar, North Jharkhand, North West Bengal and NMMT region.
