Dry saga to end over Bengaluru, rains in offing

Bengaluru weather has remained dry for a really long time now. In fact, the city has been witnessing no rainfall activity for about two months now. The last time the city recorded any significant amount of rainfall was on December 2. Thereafter, trace of rain was recorded over Bengaluru on December 12.

Since then, the city of Bengaluru has remained completely dry and no rainfall activity was witnessed over the region. Usually also, the city of Bengaluru remains almost dry during the months of January as well as February. In fact, the average rains during these months stand at 1.9 mm and 5.4 mm, respectively.

Now, the long dry saga over Bengaluru is all set to come to an end as rains are expected to make an appearance. These weather conditions will be attributed to the amplification of easterly waves. Due to this amplification, moist and warm winds are likely to affect the state of Karnataka.

Thus, with this weather feature, light to moderate rains are likely to affect the city of Bengaluru. On February 6, the city is expected to witness light rains. Meanwhile, rain intensity will slightly increase and light to moderate showers are expected to occur over the garden city of India.

With these rains, both minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to witness a drop during that time. Thus, pleasant weather will persist with cool nights making a comeback.
