The states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar witnessed light to moderate rain and thundershower activities over many parts on February 12. Now, the rain intensity has significantly reduced over both the states.

Weather of western Uttar Pradesh has become almost dry but the sky conditions are still partly cloudy to cloudy. However, today on February 13 light rains occurred over eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
Now, we expect the weather of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar to become dry as the sky will also start clearing up by tomorrow. The day temperatures which have registered significant fall, will start crawling back soon.
Meanwhile, the maximum temperatures will rise gradually and we expect marginal fall in minimum temperatures. Days will become sunny and warm whereas, nights will become cool and pleasant.
However, fog is not expected to come back anytime soon. Therefore, visibility will remain good. Rail, road and air traffic will not get affected which was the case during the last week of January and initial periods of February.
These winter rains are beneficial for the rabi crops over these states as the irrigation was due for these crops. Usually winter rains are accompanied by thunderstorm and hail storm activities as the freezing level remains low but fortunately only light to moderate rains occurred and there was no incident of hail storm.
