The states of Bihar and Jharkhand have remained mainly dry since the starting of this year. Thus, both the states remain rain deficient by a large margin of almost 100%.

In the last 24 hours, the weather has taken a little turn as light to moderate rains were seen over few places of both the neighbouring states.

During this season, the eastern region of the country is influenced by the weather systems across northern parts of the country. The western disturbances and their induced lows are among the main reasons.

However, during the last three days, the country has been witnessing multiple weather systems including both these states. With this, most parts of the country have recorded rain and thundershowers of varying intensity from February 11-13. Light rains were seen in Ranchi, Gaya, Patna and few other parts of both the states.

Though the intensity of these weather systems was far less on both the states as compared to other parts of the country, but the spells did manage to bring a change in the monotonous weather over Bihar and Jharkhand.

Rise in night temperatures along with drop in day temperatures was observed over most parts.

As per the forecasters, the sky will be seen clearing up by today. Once again, dry weather conditions will prevail in both these states. For the next one week, no temperature change is expected. Rain, clouds and fog will all remain absent.

Meanwhile, for the next 48 hours, a little change in the wind patterns is likely as winds during the day may get stronger.
