Dry And Warm Conditions On 'Holi' For Delhi-NCR

March 22, 2024 5:07 PM | Skymet Weather Team

The upcoming festival of Holi will observe dry and hot weather conditions. The wide and normal belief of some showers on Holi will defy the norm and observe rain-free occasions. Even, the layer of clouds, a day prior on Sunday is likely to thin down. Some stray clouds may come up, but unlikely to restrict the sunshine for the major duration of the day. Winds may be stronger than average, increasing the warmth and feel-like factor.

Western disturbance is moving across the hilly region. Another system is closely following and reach tomorrow over the Western Himalayas. Rain and showers will remain confined to the hills. Some isolated pockets of North Rajasthan, in the proximity of Delhi, may find some stray showers on 24th March. The national capital is likely to skip the rains and contend with some medium and high clouds. Weather activity over the mountains and its ripple effect will shield Delhi/NCR from any troubling heat. However, temperatures in the range of 33-34°C in the afternoon, along with moderately strong winds may not give a pleasant feel.

The slight chill in the morning will continue. The minimum temperature will hover around 16-17°C, with a sharp rise after sunrise. Similar weather conditions will prevail, the next day as well. Light rainfall may come up in the extreme late hours on the 27th and the wee hours of the 28th of March.
