The first week of July witnessed one of the rainiest spells over Mumbai and suburbs. Since the last 4 days, spot and patchy showers are going on over Mumbai. Both day and night temperatures for Mumbai and suburbs are marginally above normal and weather condition has once again
become sultry.
Moderate winds from West and Southwest directions will continue over Maharashtra coast including Mumbai.
A cyclonic circulation is expected to develop over North Madhya Maharashtra and adjoining North Konkan at a mid-tropospheric level around July 13th.
The combination of these weather systems may increase the rain activities over Mumbai as well as over the north coast of Maharashtra between July 13 and 15. Few intense spells are also possible during this time.
Although we do not expect heavy downpour over Mumbai and suburbs which may lead to flash flood for waterlogging. Due to on and off rains and cloudy to the overcast sky, there will be some relief for Mumbaikars.
