Gujarat is the least weather active pocket during the pre-Monsoon season, as the state is dominated by heat instead of rain and thundershower activities during this period. Even though winds blow from Arabian Sea, the weather becomes sultry in isolated pockets.
With the occurrence of extremely few weather activities, at present, the Saurashtra & Kutch region is rain deficient by 84% and Gujarat region by 62%.
Moreover, temperatures over the coastal and inland stations of the state differ a lot. As winds from the Arabian Sea, tend to keep the temperatures under check in the coastal districts of Gujarat. Meanwhile, hot winds from Sindh region, forces day temperature in inland districts to settle very high.
In the absence of any significant weather system, we expect dry and hot weather conditions to prevail over most parts of Gujarat. Heat wave like conditions may appear in few pockets.
Even though the adjoining state of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh will be witnessing pre-Monsoon weather activities in the coming days, no change in weather conditions will be witnessed in Gujarat due to the weak nature of the weather systems.
