May 5, 2019 10:59 AM |

The northern plains of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh observed dry and hot weather with clear sky conditions during the last 24 hours. Surface winds were light to moderate.

Now as the feeble Western Disturbance moving across the higher altitudes will be moving away, weather conditions will continue to remain dry during the next 24 hours as well.

In the wake of dry weather conditions, day temperatures will continue to increase continuously. In fact, few places in the Northwest India may witness heat wave like condition after 24 to 36 hours.

Since the Western Disturbance will be moving away, light winds will be prevailing during the night hours over all the states of Northwest India. The surface winds will also continue to remain light to moderate.

Thus, we can say that during the night, weather conditions will remain pleasant. But after 24 hours, night temperatures will also start rising.

Talking about the pollution levels of Delhi and NCR, are currently under moderate to satisfactory category. However, during the coming days, the AQI of these areas will drop and come under poor level.

Dry and hot weather is ahead for Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh during the next four to five days i.e. Till May 9. Thereafter, spell of dust storm and thundershowers may affect the region.
