Diwali Weather in major cities of India

Weather during DiwaliDiwali is celebrated with great fervour and gaiety across India. Considered as an auspicious day, people perform Laxmi Pooja in evening to welcome Goddess Laxmi. Let us have a look at the weather across the major cities on Diwali.

Weather in Delhi

Weather inDelhiwill be pleasant throughout the day, with light breeze setting in from evening onwards. Maximum temperatures will settle around normal in late 20s, while minimums will be around 16°C on Wednesday.

Weather in Mumbai

Mumbaiwill witness hot and humid weather conditions, while light sea breeze will be witnessed during evening. Day temperatures will settle above normal by 2 to 3 degrees around 36°C and night temperature is expected in early 20s. No rain is expected on Diwali.

Weather in Kolkata

Minimums inKolkatawill settle around 20°C, while maximums will be in early 30s. Rain is not a threat on Diwali but sky will be partly cloudy. Warm and moist northeasterly winds would prevail during the day.

Weather in Bangalore

After witnessing some heavy showers,Bangaloreis expected to witness scattered light showers on Diwali. Few places might also receive isolated moderate showers on Wednesday. Maximum temperatures will continue to settle below normal around 23°C, while minimum temperatures will also be slightly below normal around 19°C.

Weather in Chennai

Chennaiwill also witness light showers on Diwali with maximum temperature continuing to be below normal. Day temperature will settle around 27°C, while night temperature around 23°C.
