Diurnal variation narrows in Delhi, maximum to hover around 15 degrees Celsius

Rain and cloudy skies have significantly pulled down the maximum temperature in Delhi. At 2.00 pm today the Palam Observatory recorded day temperature at 15 degrees Celsius, while the Safdarjung Observatory saw the maximum settle at 16 degrees Celsius, which is about 5 degrees below normal.

Afternoon is the time when maximum temperature is recorded for a particular place. But on Friday, skies remained cloudy during afternoon hours due to which the maximum temperatures are not expected to rise any further. With this the diurnal variation has also reduced drastically as the Safdargunj Observatory recorded 10.2 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature today morning. Thereby cold day conditions will continue to prevail in the city.

Meanwhile, one or two odd spells of rain in Delhi can be witnessed on Saturday morning.
