Subdued rains have been occurring over the state of Telangana since the last many days.
Even though a north-south trough can be seen that keeps on shifting its axis occasionally through Telangana and Vidarbha, but due to lack of moisture, heavy rains have not been witnessed by the region until now.

On and off light rains occurred over many districts of Telangana but the weather remained generally dry over the capital city Hyderabad since last 10-12 days. There were rare occasions when the city experienced light showers.
Presently, a north-south trough is extending from Northeast Rajasthan up to Telangana. In the wake of this weather system, we can expect few good spells over Karimnagar, Khammam, Warangal and West Godavari districts during the next 24 hours.

Maximum temperatures may settle at most places in the lower 40s. So in due course, days would become hot. Similarly, minimum temperatures are most likely to settle between 28-30°C, resulting in warm nights. Consequently inspite of the scattered rain activity, there would be no respite.
By June 6-7, we can expect good rains to begin over many parts of Telangana that would result in substantial relief from the ongoing hot weather. In fact, Monsoon can also make an onset during this period.
