The Southwest Monsoon remained vigorous over Hyderabad, with heavy rains battering the state capital during the last 24 hours. All thanks to the well-marked low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal off the Odisha coast, which has now induced a depression.
The system is presently centered at 19°N and 86°E, over South Coastal Odisha and North Andhra Pradesh. According to weathermen, depression is most likely to move in westerly direction, due to which situation remains conducive for more heavy showers in Hyderabad.
At present also, the city has been witnessing light rains. Intense thunderclouds were hovering over the city since early Tuesday morning, followed by rains very soon. We expect more spell of rains to continue throughout the day.
