Depression in Arabian Sea and low pressure in Bay to give rains over South India, light rain likely in Maharashtra

November 6, 2021 1:18 PM |

The low-pressure area over the Arabian Sea will turn into a well-marked low pressure very soon. It may intensify into a depression in subsequent 24 hours. It will move away from the Indian coast in a west-northwest direction. Under its influence, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain and one or two heavy spells along the coasts of Kerala, Karnataka, and Maharashtra during the next two days.

Light rain is also possible in Mumbai, Pune, and Nasik. Although the impact of this weather system will be very less over Gujarat, still the possibility of scattered light to very light rain at one or two places over the southern districts cannot be ruled out.

A Cyclonic Circulation is persisting along and off Andhra Pradesh Coast, with the effect of it, there is a possibility of good rains in some parts of Tamil Nadu including Coastal Districts of Andhra Pradesh. A cyclonic circulation has developed over southeast Bay of Bengal.

Under its influence, a low-pressure area will develop over southeast and central Bay of Bengal around November 9. This low-pressure area is likely to move in a west-northwest direction and reach south Tamil Nadu coast. So, we can say that the rain activities will continue over Tamil Nadu Coast for the next several days.

The weather systems forming over the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal will not become very effective and there is very little chance of formation of a cyclonic storm in both the seas during next 1 week.
